russian dance fectival 2013

This is a second time I was helping at Russian Dance Festival held by where my dance teacher works. It is always a hard day for everyone, when you literally don't sit down for eight hours in a row, but super-inspiring, you rarely see so many talented dancers at once! This year my duty were rehearsals before the festival itself (which were lots of shouting, I almost broke my voice) and than afterwards I controlled teams coming to stage.
I like being part of Project818 crew, can't be happy enough that I've chosen that dance teacher two and a half years ago and decided to attend dance-workshops. Now I am looking forward to Russian Dance Championship 2014 which will be fifty times crazier!


Balta Monkiki appeared to be my fav among all the judges, he is so nice! Although Talia Favia is very funny and simple as well.

russian dance championship 2013

Project818 here! 1st May was a day of Russian Dance Championship, it is the second time it is held by Project818, about one hundred teams joined the competition, LA judges came to choose best of the best, and as usual, Project818 crew ruled the situation! My task is now traditional on such events - I am the main person at a dressing room. I know which team is on stage now and take control on the queue, cause no one has to miss it's perfomance.
This event is my favourite, you can rarely see so many talented dancers at one stage, huge inspiration for me! We've decided to make our own perfomance next time, when I see so many people dancing I have an urge to dance!

One more wonderful workshop by Project818! This time it was amazing Talia Favia with contemporary classes, can't experss how awesome she is!
This was my first time on contemporary class, and I liked it a lot, This style is slow, but you feel every move and express it. Usually you dance it barefeet, the less clothes the best. What is a huge minuse is that you roll and fall a lot, so my knees and elbows were bruisy-blue afterwards, but I do not regret at all.

Probably you can (or you can't) notice me at the back. I am too shy to stand in front cause I'm not that great dancer as I would like to. Also, cause I'm not just dancing but working, my help may be needed anytime, so it is not a good idea to stand on front where I cannot be found.




I do like this photo, because there I do completely NOT what I had to do, but my hair look great. My dance motto: "Hair are noticable, shake it all the time!" haha :)

sandy&maniek

I've told you like a hundred times about Project818, which became an important part of my life.
In the spring there were wonderful classes of Sandy & Maniek - Polish dancers, famous in Europe. These were Baltimore&Hip-Hop classes, and I totally fell in love with Baltimore, this dance style is awesome. And Sandy & Maniek are very nice, not "stars" at all, I liked them and hope they'll come back soon!

I've mentioned Project818 quite a few times here - it's a group of people who organize dance workshops in Moscow, and my dance teacher Jenya is one of them. Me with other girls from my classes have a great job of helping Jenya at workshops - we help organizing it, sell tickets and brand clothes and etc. Of course, we still have time to dance there!We've built kind of a small team of organizers - we're dancing together and just go out sometimes.

Project818 has it's own brand clothes - t-shirts, trousers and hoodies, which we sell at workshops, and Jenya organized a photoshoot for us only as a promo for clothes!

This was almost my first experience of studio photoshoot...and I can say I hated it :) I liked the atmosphere and my girls, but standing in front of the camera is totally not for me. I feel confused and too stupid, and just can't relax, I have no imagination for new poses at all. Also, a photographer told me to smile all the time, cause I look to serious. Well, I did, but I look at the photos - and I'm not smiling at all! Do I feel my body in a wrong way?

Anyway, I had lots of fun, and have some photos to show you!
